Juicy boneless pork chops are seared to perfection and simmered in a rich tomato cream sauce, creating a savory and comforting meal. This easy recipe combines tender pork with a creamy, tangy sauce for a delicious dinner option.
– 4 boneless pork chops (about 1 inch thick) – Salt and pepper (to taste) – 1 tablespoon olive oil – 1 tablespoon butter – 1 small onion, finely chopped – 2 cloves garlic, minced – 1 cup canned crushed tomatoes
– 1/2 cup heavy cream – 1 teaspoon dried oregano – 1/2 teaspoon dried basil – 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes – 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese – Fresh basil
Season the pork chops with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet and sear the pork chops for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, melt butter and cook the chopped onion until translucent. Add minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds.
Stir in crushed tomatoes, heavy cream, oregano, basil, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 5-7 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
Return the pork chops to the skillet, spoon sauce over them, and simmer for 2-3 minutes to heat through and allow flavors to meld.
Garnish with Parmesan cheese and fresh basil if desired. Serve the pork chops with the tomato cream sauce over mashed potatoes, rice, or vegetables.
